As per the Google AdSense blog, AdSense publishers now know what share they get for placing AdSense ads on their website.
Shortly, Google will show the revenue share within the AdSense interface reports. Google broke down the revenue share going to the publisher in two categories:
- 68% of the revenue goes to the publisher for content ads ('ads by Google' on web sites)
- 51% of the revenue goes to the publisher for search ads (Google search function related ads)
Google did not disclose the revenue share AdSense for the following at this stage as they await for the products to mature:
- mobile applications
- feeds
- games
Google chose to disclose the above information following the Italian anti-trust authority investigation from last month.
